The dictionary definition of a pedestal table is a dining table supported by a single central column or plinth. However, this style can also have two or more pedestals along the centre line of the table to support a longer table top. Each leg then rests on a spreading foot or feet. If legroom is an issue for you, then a pedestal style table is the perfect choice. It offers the least interference when placing chairs around your table. Pedestal tables are perfect for pairing with banquette seating or on a larger scale if you have the dining space to match.
